INSPIRATION ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE - A short film animating imagery created in Midjourney.
I wanted to make a film from concept through to completion, within a few weeks. While working on it every few evenings and keeping it relatively simple and manageable.
Whilst creating images in Midjourney I used the Prompt: Info graphics 3D chart blues greens on white studio transparency ui elements, hyper realistic, highly detailed
Nothing too crazy, but I really liked how the AI was incorporating plant’s, liquids and mountains into the imagery, whilst still keeping the design clean and simple, with a nice colour palette.
I started recreating some of the elements from these images, using Cinem4d’s mograph tools. In this way I could build these assets to animate easily.
I had a few music tracks saved in my Spotify ‘showreel music’ folder that I wanted to use, and this one stood out.
I decided to focus on three of my favourite images and show them building to a full reveal.
In all honesty I still prefer the AI frames to the ones I created. And if I had a bit more time then I could have pushed this a bit further.
But with young kids, time is short and the important thing was to create another short achievable win.
